How long you steep tea for can change the strength and sweetness of your cuppa.
For brewing with a teapot:
Scoop about 6g of tea leaves into the kettle (this amount can be adjusted for personal preference)
Pour 1 ¼ cup of hot water into the kettle and soak for about 40 seconds
Filter out the tea leaves and enjoy!
You can brew tea leaves 2-3 times before throwing them out (with each brew, increase soak time by about 10 seconds, adjusting for personal preference)
For brewing with a teabag:
Before brewing tea, you may choose to prepare your cup with hot water first
Pour in hot water, then gently slide the tea bag in from the edge of the cup
Cover cup with lid to keep in the aroma. Allow the tea to soak for 50 seconds to 1 minute
Gently stir tea bag 2-3 times around the cup before removing it to drink
